Douglas Lee Miller was born on March 20, 1962 in Clinton, Missouri to Lawrence and Helen (Willcockson) Miller.
He was a road captain for the Freedom Road Rider Local #35 and a member of the Clinton Masonic Lodge.
Doug loved gardening, every year he would have multiple gardens. The kids often tried to barter for his canned green beans after the season and canning was done, but he would just remind them. Last he knew, he taught them how to grow a garden, so don't be lazy plant your own.
Doug was kind of known as a Redneck MacGyver, there was never a shortage of bailing twine or duct tape, on his property. The kids would often look at him crazy-eyed, then he would recite his famous line, for ALMOST EVERYTHING and EVERY Situation.... Itta be alright!
He enjoyed playing poker until the early hours of the morning, with his family and friends. Doug would often go ALL-IN with a terrible hand just so he could make homemade biscuits and gravy for everyone.
On summer evenings, Doug would be found cooking a steak on the grill and cleaning the pool so everyone else could enjoy it.
He loved attending the kids sporting events, most of the time he would be the one keeping Jennifer in-check, letting her know it is just a game.
Family history was always a conversation at the dinner table along with who had plans for every weekend Sept thru March, because this Ol'Man needed help cutting wood.
After several years working in the Stahl Specialty Company and the Livestock Industry, his back and hands would be swollen and hurt, but he always had a smile and never complained. He just asked someone to hand him the Udder Balm.
Doug would literally give a stranger the shirt off his back, and a glass of sweet tea. Then ask what their plans were the weekend's Sept to Mar, because this Ol'Man needed help cutting wood.
Survivors include 11 children and 17 grandchildren, his fiancé and love of his life Michele Pipes. Sister Amy Stoneking of Chilhowee MO, Michael Miller of Chilhowee, MO (Pup). And some of the closest friends anyone could ask for.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton Missouri.
