Douglas Allen Maddux was born in Buffalo, Missouri on July 28, 1959 to George Allen Maddux and Barbara (Jackson) Maddux. Doug was the only son of seven children.

Doug liked country and rock music, liked parades, car shows, farm & tractor shows, firework shows, and movies. He enjoyed Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners. He liked telling funny stories and laughing so hard he would almost fall out of his chair.  He loved dogs and they loved him.

Doug is preceded in death by his parents George A. Maddux and Barbara J. Maddux, and three sisters, Sandra (Maddux) Satore, Paula Maddux, Judy (Maddux) Vaughn.

Survivors include three sisters, Brenda (Maddux) Merriott, Daphne (Maddux) Hitt, Kim (Maddux) Preston, and his nephew Kaleb Vaughn.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
