Dorothy M. Orfield, age 78 of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Golden Living Center-Westwood, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be 10:30 A.M., Monday, February 11, 2013 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with interment in the Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington. Family will receive friends Sunday evening, February 10, 6:00-7:30 P.M. also at the chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to C.A.R.E.(Clinton Animal Rescue Endeavor) or the Clinton Senior Center and can be left in care of funeral home. Dorothy worked at Clearfield Cheese as a lab tech for 18 years retiring in 1987. She was a member of the Pleasant Valley Baptist Church, Deepwater.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph H. Orfield; her parents John Edward and Elmira I. (York) Jarvis, Sr.; son, Larry Orfield; sisters, Nora Huff and W. JoAnn Ash Oswald; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Lloyd A. and Ella (Hill) Orfield.

Survivors incude her children, William J. (Charleen) Orfield of Athens, Alabama and Deborah (Mike) Williamson of Appleton City, Missouri; daughter-in-law Linda Orfield, Clinton; seven grandchildren; nineteen great-grandchildren; one great great-granddaughter; one brother John (Janice) Jarvis of Windsor; and sister-in-law Wanda Orfield of Mansfield.
