Dorothy J. Higgins, age 78, Deepwater, Missouri passed away Monday, January 12, 2009 at her home. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 15, 2009 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Inurnment will be at Peaceful Home Cemetery, Deepwater. Family suggests memorials to Peaceful Home Cemetery and may be left at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. She was a lifelong member of the Fairview Presbyterian Church, Riley, Kansas. She attended the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.

Dorothy is survived by her husband, Eugene; four children, James Eugene, Kansas City, Missouri, Janet Katherine Graham, Eugene Missouri, Lance Martin, Sedalia, Missouri, and Andrew Oren, Earl Park, Indiana; brother Arnold Roos, Sioux Falls, South Dakota; sister Phyllis Johnson, Newell, South Dakota; twelve grandchildren, Brian Higgins, Brett Higgins, Casey Graham, Devin Graham, Russel Graham, Brandon Higgins, Lana Higgins, Kahli Higgins, Alyssa Higgins, Abygale Higgins, Ashland Higgins, and Aubrey Higgins; three great-grandchildren, Austin Hazelwood, Ashton Graham and Ryan Graham.
