Dorothy was born September 6, 1918, the daughter of Joseph and Barbara (Oswald) Munsterman. She attended St. Mary's School in Montrose and later was employed in Clinton, Missouri by Mr. and Mrs. Albert Bratzler.

Dorothy was married to Mark Urban Goth on June 4, 1946. To this union five children were born: Barbara (John) Ceule, Donna Snethen, Sam (Marysue) Goth, Sharon Goth and John (Brenda) Goth.

She was a faithful member of the Immaculate Conception Church and the Altar Society. She loved flowers and taking care of her chickens until she was 80. She also enjoyed canning, playing cards, bingo and going to the boat but she especially loved her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was at her best when a small child was present. Dorothy was a wonderful homemaker and cook, specializing in fried chicken and pie. She was always the last person to sit down and eat at family gatherings because she always had to make sure everyone else was taken care of first.

When Dorothy's children were small, a normal Saturday night would find her ironing clothes at midnight so everyone looked good for church on Sunday morning and finishing cinnamon rolls for their after church breakfast.

Dorothy wanted to keep everyone happy including her neighbors. She had a beautiful green headed rooster in one of her flocks of chickens, which she killed against her children's wishes, because he crowed too early and was waking up her neighbor.

As Dorothy's health began to fail and she had to start making Doctor visits, as long as she was able, she would bake a fresh cherry pie to take to Dr. Doug Kenney and make grape jelly for Dr. Larry Geier, their favorites. Dorothy always looked for something to do for someone else.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Mark (1982) her son-in-law Lloyd Snethen (2008), her granddaughter Cindy Ceule (1977) and her parents Joseph and Barbara Munsterman, six brothers: Fred, Ed, Lee, John, Bernard, and infant brother Paul Munsterman and two sisters: Julia Cook and Frances Munsterman.

Dorothy is survived by her five children: Barbara (John) Ceule, Donna Snethen, Sam (Marysue) Goth, Sharon Goth and John (Brenda) Goth; nine grandchildren: David Ceule, Cheryl (Craig) Oerly, Mike (Tanya) Snethen, Chris (Jennifer) Snethen, Kim (Sean) Hayes, Charley (Natalie) Goth, Becky Goth and companion Joe Wilson, Mark (Mary) Goth and Kevin Goth. She is also survived by eight great grandchildren: Emma and Eli Oerly, Terry and Nick Snethen, Aidan and Molly Snethen, Mariah Wilson and Anastasia Hayes and one sister, Margaret Cook, two sisters-in-law, Joan and Mary Ellen Munsterman and a wonderful care giver the past three years, Vicky O'Farrell and a fantastic caring Doctor, Doug Kenney, plus a host of nieces, nephews and friends as well as a "Grandparent's Day" adopted granddaughter, Tasha Lesmeister.
