Dorothy B. Baumgarden, age 87 years, passed away Saturday, May 13, 2017 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton, Missouri.  Funeral services will be held 11:30 am Wednesday, May 17, 2017 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.  Interment will follow at Vansant Road Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri.  The family suggests memorial contributions to Vansant Road Cemetery and may be left in care of the funeral home.  Fond memories and condolences can be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Dorothy was born March 31 ^st , 1930 in rural Henry County, MO to Joseph and Minnie (Peek) Jolley. She worked at the Clinton Chicken Hatchery where she met her Husband Avery Baumgarden and they where married April 9 ^th , 1950. Dorothy enjoyed sitting on her front porch swing watching the children play and flowers grow. She was a member of the Martinville Road Church of the Nazerene.

Dorothy was prececed death by her parents and her husband Avery, two brothers John and Earnest Jolley and a sister Anna May Jones.

She is survived by her son Lewis Baumgarden and wife Kathy, daughter Joyce Baumgarden and life long companion Steve Evans. One grandson Scott Baumgarden and a sister Maxine Jones and husband Donray, brother Jim Jolley and a host of nieces and nephews and good neighbors and friends. Dorothy was a great mom and grandma and will be greatly missed.
