Donovan Lucier, age 58, passed away on Thursday, August 28, 2025 at his home in Clinton, Missouri. A Celebration of Life will be held at 11:00 AM on September 15, 2025 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton, Missouri with visitation from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service. Memorial donations can be left to the Donovan Lucier Memorial Fund and may be left in care of the funeral home.

Donovan, known as Donnie by his friends, was born on March 30, 1967 in Las Angeles, California to Fredrick John Lucier and Linda Louise (Christalman) Lucier.

Donnie worked for Crain Tree for over 20 years. Most people knew him as the tree trimming man here in town. He later worked for Hobson Interiors, were he enjoyed working with his close friend Richard.

Donnie was baptized at Souls Harbor church in Tightwad Missouri by Pastor Steve Brisbain. He enjoyed fishing, arrowhead hunting, and playing the slot machines. Most of all he loved spending time with his little dog Chloe.

Donnie is preceded in death by his parents, his brother Timothy Armstrong, and son Steven Mentzer.

Survivors include his wife Christina Lucier, his son Brandon Mentzer, his brothers Eric Covington and wife Maya Vandevere, and Kurt Covington, his sisters Susan Lucier, and Denise Winston, his dear friend Ruby Keelan, and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and many friends who will miss him dearly.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
