Dennis Ray McCurter, age 63, passed away on Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Truman Medical Center in Kansas City, Missouri. A graveside memorial service will be held at 12:30 PM on Sunday, August 8, 2021 at Fredonia Cemetery in Warsaw, Missouri. Dennis Ray McCurter was born on November 6, 1957, in Marshfield, Missouri to Delbert and Dottie (Brown) McCurter.

Dennis was a devoted Christian, a self-taught musician, a talented artist, a passionate educator and businessman, and he never passed up an opportunity to travel the world.  He had a huge heart and didn't know the meaning of the word "no".  Dennis was a selfless, compassionate man who will be loved and missed by many.

He is survived by his mother, Dottie McCurter of Warsaw, Missouri, his sister, Dana DeMar of Kansas City, Kansas, his daughter Elizabeth Lafreniere and her children, Cora and Benjamin, of Osawatomie, Kansas, and his son Alex McCurter and wife Katie of Independence, Missouri, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, and uncles.
