Dennis L. Dawson, age 75 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Tuesday, May 13, 2014 at his home. Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Saturday, May 17, 2014 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton, Missouri. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Twin Lakes Hospice or American Cancer Society and may be left in care of the funeral home. Dennis was born February 12, 1939 in DaKalb, Indiana the son of Jarl and Wilma (Ladd) Dawson. He was an outdoorsman who loved gardening, fishing, and hunting. Dennis was a lifetime member of the National Wildlife Turkey Foundation. He was a huge Kansas City Chiefs fan as well. More than anything Dennis loved his children and his grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and daughter, Jennifer Dawson.

Survivors include his wife, Dixie of the home; son, Philip (Jennifer) Dawson of Hudson, Indiana; two daughters, Janet Dawson of Angola, Indiana and Pamla (Frank) Hall of Fremont, Indiana; sister, Marlene Rowe of Kendallville, Indiana, 6 grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
