Daniel Otis "Jeff" Jefferson, age 60 of Raytown, Missouri passed away Friday, January 6, 2012 at Centerpoint Hospital, Independence, Missouri. Funeral Services will be Saturday, January 14, 2012, 2:30 p.m. at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, with interment in Antioch Cemetery, Clinton. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the Chapel. Memorial contributions may be made to the Daniel O. Jeff was born in Seale, Alabama the son of Jack Griggs and Willie Mae Jefferson. He was married to Brenda Mae (Hall) Jefferson. Jeff retired from the United States Air Force. He worked for Wal-Mart until his health failed. Jeff was a member of the Catholic Church.

He is survived by his wife, Brenda and one daughter, Cherise R. Jefferson of Kansas City, Missouri; three sons, Daniel E. "Jeffy" Jefferson of Kansas City, Missouri, Raymond L. Jefferson and wife Angela of Clinton and Damion M. Jefferson of Overland Park, Kansas; six brothers, Otis Griggs and wife Diane, Curtis Jefferson and wife Gwen, and Mack Griggs all of Columbus, Georgia; Donald Jefferson and wife, Myra, David Jefferson and wife Yvonne and John Griggs all of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; nine sisters, Loretta James and husband Fletcher of Atlanta, Georgia, Teresa Murray and husband Dale, Gloria Ann Jefferson and Vanessa Jefferson all of Phenix City, Alabama, Delorise Parrish and husband Phillip of Eufaula, Alabama, Sharon Jefferson, Janet Griggs and Vicki Griggs all of Columbus, Georgia and Delorise Hoskins of Ft. Mitchell, Alabama; as well as two grandchildren, Laila R. Jefferson of Clinton and Tyrae D. Jackson of Kansas City, Missouri; and one brother-in-law Kenneth E. Hall and wife Debra of Clinton, Missouri; host of nieces , nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.
