Curt was born April 2, 1956, to Norma and Grover Parks, in Anchorage Alaska. Born to an Air Force family, most of his childhood was spent traveling from one base to another. He lived in Grandview Missouri, Fulda Germany, Ft. Lee Virginia, Biloxi Mississippi, finally ending up in Roscoe Missouri during his high school years. He graduated from Osceola high school in 1975, where he made lifelong friendships with his fellow students commuting from Roscoe to OHS each day. Curt worked part time at his father's DH Gas Station in Roscoe and played varsity football at OHS.

After high school Curt moved to downtown Kansas City, where he enjoyed working in McDonalds restaurant, working his way up to a manager's position. Managing fast food would become a passion of his and he would often go back into that role. He helped open the Taco Bell, next to Arrowhead stadium. As anyone who knows Curt can attest, his second love was the Kansas City Chiefs. He was a true fan running all the way back to the 1966-67 season. Over the past several winning seasons it's been a joy to see his enthusiasm and love for the team. Curt served proudly in the US Navy from October of 1977 to October of 1981, with over 2 years of sea service and a year of foreign service.

Curt married the love of his life Stella Lousie Sutton on July 23, 1979. They were blessed with 40 years of marriage and shared a deep love of animals, mostly small dogs but we recall they loved a pair of miniature goats, that enjoyed jumping up on your car when you visited their farm near Marshall Missouri. Curt and Stella both worked many years at the state school in Marshall. Later as Stella's health began to fail, they moved closer to family in Deepwater Missouri, where Curt became her sole caretaker until her death on November 24, 2019.

After his retirement, Curt fully enjoyed traveling, multiple trips to New Orleans, Memphis, the Grand Canyon with his Uncle John & Aunt Donna and family. He was an avid collector of trip memorabilia and loved to share his photos. He loved camping and fishing but most of all he enjoyed the Friday night dinners together with friends and family. Curt was a member of the Roscoe Christian Church, and the Masonic Lodge at Roscoe.

Curt was preceded in death by his mother, Norma Norine Parks, his father, Grover H. Parks, his brother, Randy Lee Parks, and his wife Stella Lousie Sutton Parks.

He is survived by his brothers, Cliff Parks (Michele), of Bella Vista Arkansas and David Parks (Helen) of Deepwater Missouri. Nieces Erin Moore, Angela Parks, Ashlyn Parks, Danika DeVasher and nephews Garrett Parks, Travis Parks, Jameson Parks, Dayton DeVasher. Also, his Aunt & Uncle, many cousins, and a host of loving friends.
