Connie S. Smith, age 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 22, 2022 at her home in St. Joseph, Missouri. Funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 28, 2022 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel in Clinton. Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 AM prior to the service.  Burial will be at 2:00 PM in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery in Higginsville, Missouri. Memorials can be made to the Missouri Veterans Cemetery and can be left in care of the funeral home.

Connie S. (Magill) Smith was born on September 5, 1945 in Kansas City, Kansas, the daughter of Daniel and Genevieve Magill. Connie worked as a waitress for most of her life.

Connie is preceded in death by her husband, James Stewart Smith, her parents and her brother and sister.

Survivors include her four sons; James Smith, Jr. of Lola, Wisconsin, Michael Smith of Clinton, Missouri, Robert Smith of St. Joseph, Missouri, Matthew and Angela Smith of St. Joseph, Missouri. Her sisters JoAnn Tavis of Gardner, Kansas, Pam Corum of Clinton, Missouri and Miki (Magill) Tye of Clinton, Missouri, along with 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home in Clinton, Missouri.
