Christopher Charles Swope, 45, Clinton, Missouri died Monday July 30, 2012 at 11:07 A.M. at the University of Missouri Hospital and Clinics of Columbia, Missouri. Funeral services will 11:00 A.M. Thursday, August 2, 2012 at First Baptist Church, Clinton, Missouri with interment in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church. He was born February 28, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri to Carol Ann and Jack Swope who survive. Chris was a lifetime resident of the Clinton community graduating from Clinton High School in 1985. He was a member of the First Baptist Church.

On May 6, 1995 in Clinton, he married the love of his life Kim Michele Prewett, daughter of Roger and Lou Prewett who survives of the home. Also surviving are two sons, Dalton Christopher Swope and Derek Tyler Swope; two sisters, Pam Hayes and husband Brian, their three children Logan, Reagon and Alex of Norman, Oklahoma, and Janet Mason and husband Chris, and their three children Jackson, Mabree and Davis of Arnold, Missouri.

He was preceded in death by grandparents June Moss, Charles Moss, Clifford Swope, and Lillian Swope; and maternal grandparents Varnor Kohneskey.
