Chester E. Ancell, age 80 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, September 11, 2006 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Friday, September 15, 2006 at the Clinton Christian Church with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. Thursday at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Family suggests contributions to the Clinton Christian Church and may be left at the funeral home.

Chet was born in Independence, Missouri. He was an assistant manager for J. C. Penney Company for many years. He was an entrepreneur. He was a member of the Clinton Christian Church where he served as a Deacon Emeritus.

He is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; one son, Chris Ancell of Overland Park, Kansas; three daughters, Cheryl Ancell of Overland Park, Kansas, Charla Caudill of Clinton, Missouri and Marla Childers and husband, Boyd of Lee's Summit, Missouri; two sisters, Mary Smith and husband, David of Kirksville, Missouri and Betty Chew and husband, Harry of Prairie Home, Missouri and one grandson, Curtis Caudill.
