Charlotte Elaine Matthes, age 91, of Clinton, MO passed away Wednesday, April 17, 2013 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital, Clinton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, April 20, 2013 at the First Presbyterian Church, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitaion will be one hour before the service at the church. The family suggests memorial contributions to the First Presbyterian Church and may be left in care of the funeral home. Charlotte was born on October 30, 1921 in Reinbeck, IA to Samuel and Hazel (Minton) Anderson. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church and the Naomi Ruth Circle. She also enjoyed gardening and tending to her flowers.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents husband, Wayne Matthes, brothers, Rex Anderson, Stuart Anderson and Gail Anderson, sisters, Margaret Clabaugh and Marilyn Anderson, daughter-in-law, Melodie Matthes, granddaughters, Tandy Sublette and Amber Dawn Matthes.

Charlotte is survived by six sons, Wayne Matthes and wife Linda of Lewis, IA, Larry Matthes and wife Freida of Sibley, MO, Dean Matthes of Clinton, MO, David Mattes and wife Claudia of Blue Mound, KS, Paul Matthes of Clinton, MO and Rodney Matthes and friend Donna of Tyler, TX; two daughters, Debbie Clouse and husband Dr. James Clouse of Clinton, MO and Sandra Rader and husband Gary of Forsyth, MT; two sisters Elizabeth Vacura of Jackson, MN and Edith Clabaugh of Esterville, IA; brother-in-law Francis Matthes of Estherville, IA; 28 grandchildren, 55 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren.
