Charlie was born July 27th, 1959 in Kansas City, Mo., the son of Harold Ray Smarr and Mary Frances (Utter) Smarr. Charlie had a love for the outdoors. Whether it was hunting, fishing, or arrowhead hunting, you would always find him outside. Charlie was very talented at many things. He built his family home in 1991, where the family has shared many memories over the last 26 years. Summer vacations were spent on the water whether at the family cabin or canoeing and camping. Charlie had a love for playing a good game of pool. He spent many years on a pool league and most recently shooting pool with the grandkids. His typical saying was "I'll shoot you with one eye closed". He was also known by many friends as "One Eye".

Charlie's pride and joy was his wife Brenda, and his kids and grandkids. He also enjoyed working on his 1936 Plymouth pickup. He also loved to jam to some good old tunes. He would turn up the music loud and sing along. He loved listening to his son Dustin and grandson Dylan play guitar and drums to his favorite tunes.

Charlie is preceded in death by his father Harold Ray Smarr, his grandparents Harold and Tressie Smarr, and a brother David Smarr.

Survivors include his wife Brenda Sue (Moomaw) Smarr of Clinton, sons Dustin, Nathan, a daughter Amber Collins (Joe), mother Mary Brand of Lee's Summit, grandchildren, Dylan Smarr, Dustin Gray II, Dalton Smarr, Kolton Smarr, Alec Gray, Joseph Gray, Parker Collins, Noah Smarr, Bridger Collins, and Kaysen Collins, and Aubrey Decker, brother Mark Smarr of Ithaca, WY., sister-in-laws, Cindy Wilson, Lorrie Engel, Christy and Kelly Ballew, mother-in-law Mary (Jim) Wareham.
