Charles (Sam) R. Settles, age 81, passed away at his home in Deepwater, MO on Sunday January 26, 2020. Funeral Services will be on Saturday, February 1,2020 at 11AM with visitation one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church of Deepwater. Inurnment will follow at Deepwater Cemetery, Deepwater, MO. Sam was born July 28,1938 in Deepwater, MO, the son of RV and Velma Settles. Sam married Linda on December 5, 1994. He Retired from the Post Office after 32 years in September 1993. In his later years, he enjoyed driving for Oats. He loved riding motorcycles, traveling, being outdoors and spending time with family.

Sam was preceded in death by his parents and one son Rick Settles.

Sam is survived by his wife Linda of the home, his 3 children Kevin (Mechelle) Settles, Candi (Darren) Kimzey, and Tanya (Shawn) Cooper; 6 grandchildren Connor (Megan) Kimzey, Halle Settles, Ryan Settles, Makenna Cooper, Deven Kimzey and Gage Cooper; 2 step children Robbie (Kim) Thomason and their 2 boys, Trevor and Tyler, Rick (Tracey) Thomason and their son Xander; 2 sisters Joan (Jim) Groff and Janet Vogel and a host of nieces and nephews.
