Chuck was born February 4, 1936 in Monument, Pennsylvania.  He was the son of Mabel Bartley Packer and Arthur Packer.  Chuck was a member of the Air Force Military Police, stationed in Morocco, at the close of the Korean War.  He was employed by Boeing as a guard at our nation's missile bases in the Central and NW States.  Chuck met Wanda Harrelson Engeman while stationed as a guard in Sedalia, Missouri.  They met while bowling, which was one of his passions.  Chuck and Wanda were married February 20, 1982.  After marriage they lived in various states in the NW through employment with Boeing.  After Chuck's retirement from Boeing, they resettled to Lee's Summit, Missouri, to be close to Wanda's children and grandchildren.  His step-children were Mark, Myron and Meldan Engeman.  Chuck and Wanda were married 40 years until Wanda's passing.  Chuck was the father of three children from his first marriage, Gary, Barbara, and Charles, Jr.

Chuck and Wanda enjoyed traveling before and after retirement.  Chuck enjoyed bowling, attending Royals baseball games, and watching televised baseball games.  But most of all, he enjoyed spending time with family.

Preceding Chuck in death was his wife, Wanda Packer; his parents Mabel Bartley Packer and Arthur Packer; his brothers, Richard, Robert, Arthur, John, Edward, Walter, and Donald; two sisters, Betty and Esther; and his son Gary.

Survivors include sisters Martha (Donald) Winslow, Barbara (Melvin) Geyer, and brother, Kenneth (Connie) Packer.  He is survived by his daughter, Barbara Packer of Grand Junction, Colorado, and his son Charles Packer, Jr. of Shoshone, Idaho; four grandchildren, Tarah Hauger, Jeffrey Brondum, Tylor McGowan, and Riley Packer.  Chuck is also survived by Wanda's three sons and their families, Mark and Linda Engeman of Oak Grove, Missouri, Myron and LaVonne Engeman of Lee's Summit, Missouri, Meldan and Darsi Engeman of Largo, Florida; six grandchildren, Cassandra Engeman, Christina Godinez, Danielle Schremser, Breanne Raymond, Audrey Boykin, and Kyle Engeman; along with ten great-grandchildren.  Chuck was particularly close to his niece, Nancy Hauser, and her husband, Max.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, Missouri and are pending at this time.
