Charles C. Hunter, age 67 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Thursday, April 10, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Monday, April 14, 2008 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Monday at the chapel. Family suggests contributions to the National Kidney Foundation and may be left at the funeral home. Charles was born in Blairstown, Missouri. He worked for D & H Fertilizer, Hull Fertilizer, Terra Fertilizer and M.F.A. Fertilizer where he was a manager and salesman before retiring in 2006. He was a member of Shawnee Mound Cumberland Presbyterian Church, the Clinton Masonic Lodge No. 548 and a former member of the Henry County Fair Board.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dallas C. Hunter, his sister, Linda Harmon and one granddaughter, Amanda Nicole Hunter.

He is survived by his wife, Virginia; five sons, James Charles Hunter and wife, Kathy of Clinton, Ricky Clinton Hunter and wife, Patricia of Commerce, Texas, Steven Lee Hunter and wife, Carla, John Keith Hunter and wife, Brenda, all of Clinton,
Jeffery Scott Hunter and wife, Leah of Springfield, Missouri: his mother, Marjorie J. Hunter of Clinton; one brother, Jerry V. Hunter and one sister, Sharon Ann Strohmeyer, both of Prosper, Texas and six grandchildren, Dustin Clinton Hunter, Melisa Ann Hunter, Megan Michelle Hunter, Stephanie Leigh Hunter, Sydney Elizabeth Hunter and Ayden Shelly Nicole Hunter.
