Cecil H. Payne, age 93 years, passed away Friday, December 11, 2015 at his home in Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be at 2 PM on Tuesday December 15, 2015, with visitation 1 hour prior at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. There will be a Private family gravesite service at Mt. Cecil was born to Edward & Bessie (Surface) Payne July,7 1922 in Elston, Missouri. Cecil was in the United States Air Force from 1946-1949. He attended Berean Independent Baptist Church, Clinton, MO and loved woodworking, country music, and yodeling. He was the top salesman at Cook Paint & Varnish, he owned Memory Lane Gift Shop and later retired from Davis Paint.

Cecil is preceded in death by his parents Edward & Bessie (Surface) Payne, his wife Dulcie (Roeder) Payne, along with a brother, Roy Payne and a sister, Ruthie Mae Payne.

Among survivors are his son Roy & (Caroline) Payne of Clinton, MO, daughters Cynthia Cline of Blue Springs, MO, Vickie (Payne) & David Lovitch of Buckner, MO. Grandchildren Kimberly, John, Jonathan, Timothy and Courtney and 3 great grandchildren with another on the way.
