Catherine Ann "Cathy" Watkins, age 51 of Joplin, Missouri passed away Saturday, August 28, 2010 at her home after a sudden illness. Graveside services wil be 3:00 P.M., Wednesday, September 1, 2010 at Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Cathy was born July 19, 1959 in Blytheville, Arkansas the daughter of Joseph H. Murphey, Sr. and Shirley D. (Briggs) Murphey and had lived in the Joplin area all of her life.

She worked for the Joplin Sheltered Workshop for 30 years and was a long time member of Fellowship Baptist Church, Joplin.

She was married to James E. Watkins on June 25, 1991.

She is survived by her husband, James of the home; her parents, Joseph and Shirley Murphey of Joplin; two brothers, Joe Murphey, Jr. and wife, Melinda of Leawood, Kansas and Brian Murphey of Joplin; five nieces, Lindsey, Stephanie, Hannah, Nina and Janel; two nephews, Joe Murphey III and Parker Murphey; her father-in-law, Jim Watkins of Joplin, Missouri; a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
