Carroll Lon Childers, age 83, of Peoria Illinois passed away Wednesday, Feb 11, 2015. Carroll wishes to be cremated with no services. Fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com

Carroll was born in Henry County, Missouri to Audie Otto and Augusta May Childers. He was one of eight children. Carroll retired after 28 years of combined Air Force and Government service in 1979. He took great pride in his 35 years of retirement. That time allowed him to pursue his loves of traveling, dancing, scooter riding and going out to eat with family and friends.

He was proceeded in death by his wife, Imogene in 1976, his parents, 3 brothers Melvin, Eldon and Dennis and one sister Geraldine Hotsenpiller.

Surviving him is one son Randy Childers (Monica) of Hanna City, Illinois; one granddaughter, Katie and two great grandchildren. His brother Calvin and sisters Verna Quattlebaum of Clinton Missouri and Lois Buchanan of Springfield Missouri.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton MO.
