Carolyn Louise (Vernon) Moree, age 59 of Deepwater, Missouri passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2009 at her home. Carolyn was born on January 10, 1950 at her Great Aunt Gertie's house in Aurora Springs, Missouri.

She is survived by her husband, Chris of the home and two sons, Chris Moree and wife, Cristy of Clinton, Missouri and Jason Moree of Springfield, Missouri; four grandchildren, Courtney Allen, Savannah Thomas, Noah Moree and Owen Moree, her mother, Wanda Vernon of Eldon, Missouri and one brother, Ted Vernon, Jr. and wife, Cindy and their children, Alison and Daniel of Lee's Summit, Missouri; her mother-in-law, Freda Moree of Deepwater; sister-in-law, Karen Vansant and husband, Sam of Montrose, Missouri and her close friend and cousin, Cleo Golightly of Appleton City, Missouri.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her father, Ted Vernon, Sr. and her father-in-law, W. C. Moree, her paternal grandparents, Aubra and Flosssie Vernon and her maternal grandparents, Earl and Mary Wood.

Carolyn attended school from first grade until her high school granduation in l967 at School of the Osage, in Lake Ozark, Missouri. She then attended college at Southwest Baptist College, Bolivar, Missouri until her marriage to Chris Moree on July 20, 1969. Later she attended and graduated from Central Missouri State University with a B.S. in Education degree in l983. She then taught English and Communication Arts in Humansville, Missouri until her retirement in 2006.

Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M., Saturday, August 29, 2009 at the Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton with burial in Maplewood Cemetery, Brownington, Missouri. Services will be officiated by Carolyn's cousin, Earl Wood of Eldon, Missouri. Family will receive friends one hour before the service on Saturday at the chapel.
