Carole Susanne Hoefer was born in Monterey Park, California on April 7, 1938 to loving parents William Burton and Winona Elizabeth Jackson.

Carole Sue was always the epitome of intelligence, beauty and grace. She excelled at everything taking the lead as class president, chairperson of this, or president of that. She led various Masonic and community organizations. For many years, Carole Sue worked as an exceptional office administrator and should long be remembered for her hard work and dedication to the Henry County RSVP (Retired Senior Volunteer Program). She exuded creativity. There was little she could not make or do. Carole Sue was musically inclined. In her youth, she sat first chair violinist. She also played the piano and guitar. She seized every opportunity to live life fully and well. She loved the Lord and enjoyed attending church with her family. Her love for her family and friends was evident. She would drop everything or give her last dollar if ever there were a need. She possessed an innate gift for providing nurture and care to all living creatures. She especially was fond of collies and kitty cats. Carole Sue was the best when it came to naming her animal friends too. She enjoyed adventures from the Tournament of Rose Parade, opening week at Disneyland, and Sunday drives along Pacific Coast Highway. We should all take comfort in knowing that her radiance is everlasting. She will continue to shine with magnificence like the beautiful Northern lights. Carole Sue's family cannot begin to express the enormous amount of gratitude they have for the entire staff at Medicalodge of Butler, Missouri. The loving care that was provided comforted not only Carole Sue, but the family as well. God Bless you all.
