Carl L. Elges, age 97 of Clinton Missouri, passed away Sunday, February 3rd, 2013 at his home. Funeral services will be 10:00 A.M., Wednesday, February 6, 2013 at Clinton United Methodist Church, Clinton, Missouri with interment in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Visitation will be 6:00-7:30 P.M.,Tuesday, February 5, 2013 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton. Family suggests memorial contributions to Twin Lakes Hospice and can be left in care of funeral home. Carl was born October 19, 1915, the son of Carl W. and Vera (McLachlin) Elges in Clinton, Missouri. Carl served in the U. S. Army during W.W. II. He was married to Madeline Varner on June 26, 1946 and she preceded him in death on November 29, 2011. He worked as a salesman for Mid States Distribution Company for 30 years before retiring in l977. He and Madeline enjoyed raising cattle and taking care of their farm in the Deepwater/Ladue area.

Survivors include his daughter, Carlene Lowe and husband Greg and his son, Don Elges and wife, Caryn, all of Clinton; four grandchildren, Chris Lowe and wife, Danita, Kim Mitchell and husband, Eric, Sean Elges, and Mike Taylor and wife, Anya; nine great-grandchildren, Courtney, Macey, Katie, Cody, Gavin, Andrea and husband, Shawn, Haley, Logan and Sophia; and two great-great grandsons, Ryan and Steven.

Arrangements have been entrusted to the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton.
