Brenda was born on July 21,1965 to Marvin and Nancy Woirhaye and grew up in their family home on Franklin Street in Clinton, MO. Brenda graduated from Clinton High School in 1983.  Brenda married the love of her life, John Hunter on July 16, 1994. They would have celebrated their 30th wedding anniversary this year. To this union, their daughter, Sydney Elizabeth was born.

Brenda began her career at Wetzel Clinic when Dick Fleming and Nancy extended the invitation to work for them. She continued her career in healthcare after GVMH purchased the Clinic and continued that career for 38 years until her health would no longer allow it. Brenda took great pride in her work and loved all of the girls who worked for her, they affectionately referred to her as "Boss Lady." During her time at Golden Valley she was involved with MAOMA, MARHC and MGMA. She developed lasting relationships not only with her many co-workers but the many patients she met through the years.

Brenda loved nothing more than spending time with her husband John and daughter Sydney.  When Sydney moved to Colorado, Brenda always looked forward to their weekly calls, trips home from Syd and their trips to see her. Brenda was very proud of Sydney and the young lady she has become. Brenda loved sunsets and had a front row seat each evening from their home on the hill. She also loved a good ol' thunderstorm. Brenda's favorite pastimes were to check cows with John and to fish with him in her forever fishing hole that John built for her. Brenda looked forward to her Saturday lunches with her mom, Nancy, Sister Bretta and brother-in law David. In addition, Brenda loved planting and maintaining flowers during the spring and summer. And while she loved her fur babies, Monty, Junior Smalls and Gus, she cussed them often when they would dig up what she had just planted.

Brenda was a spitfire and you never had to wonder what was on her mind. If she didn't speak it verbally, those fierce brown eyes would let you know how she felt! She was a loyal wife, daughter, mother, sister, aunt and friend. She is going to be missed by many.

Brenda is survived by her husband John of the home, daughter Sydney of Greeley Colorado, as well as her mother, Nancy Woirhaye, brothers, Brian (Debbie), Bruce (Tammy), Brent (Tabetha) and her sister Bretta (David). Also surviving are a host of nieces and nephews who she loved dearly.

Lastly, Brenda loved a good ole stiff Crown and Coke and was known for living out her favorite motto: Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.
