Bonnie Sue Downing Manley Harrelson age 65 passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at St Vincent Hospital in Billings, MT after a long battle with health issues.

Bonnie was born on January 29,1954 to Ralph and Violet Stone Downing. She was the youngest of the family. Her only brother Derrel was like a father figure to her. Her oldest sister Dottie was like a mother to her. Her older sister Connie was her best friend. When Connie passed away, a piece of Bonnie's heart was forever missing.

Bonnie lived and grew up in Calhoun, MO. She attended Calhoun schools.

On August 17,1970, she married J.C. Manley. To this union, 2 daughters were born Christina Diane and Amy Sue. Their marriage ended in 1990. Even though, they went their separate ways, they remained friends.

Bonnie married Dennis Harrelson on September 30,1995. This marriage ended in divorce.

Bonnie accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior on January 21,1974. She was baptized at the Calhoun Baptist Church. She loved Jesus. She loved teaching Vacation Bible School and GA's. Bonnie loved to share her belief in Jesus and to share how much Jesus loved us. She faithfully read her bible and prayed. If you had a problem she would tell you "I will pray for you" and she did.

Bonnie loved to sing, listen to music, write songs and poetry. She always had a smile on her face. She loved to spend time with her family. She had fond memories of her nieces and nephews coming to her house and all the laughs and good times they had.

Bonnie worked at various places over the years including the Calhoun post office, Hardee's and Walmart before her health declined and she was unable to work. She loved being a cashier. She loved people and she loved to talk. She never met a stranger. She always had a kind word and a smile. Bonnie had a tender heart and cried easily with others and for others whether it be for joy or hurt. It used to embarrass her, but that is how God made her.

The delight and joy of her life were her 4 grandchildren: Dillon, Josh, Joey and Jazmen. She shared a special bond with each one of them. She loved them with every part of her being. She cherished every minute that she spent with them or talking on the phone to them. She wanted them to know she was always very proud of them and they could be anything that they wanted to be. For them to remember that their names were carved in her heart.

Bonnie collected angels of many kinds. She believed that God sent guardian angels to protect and guide us. Now she is our guardian angel.

Preceding her in death were her parents Ralph & Violet Downing, sisters Shirley, Margie and Connie, nephews Rick Gregory and Michael Ensor, plus grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Bonnie is survived by her daughters: Christy Douglas & husband Josh of Lakeview, OR, and Amy Brown & husband Coy of Forsyth, MT. Grandchildren Dillon Houk of Clinton, MO, Josh Houk & wife Sheridan of Clinton,MO, Joey Houk of Lakeview, OR and Jazmen Brown of Forsyth, MT. Brother Derrel Shanks & wife Kathy of Clinton,MO. Sister Dottie Smith & husband Nelson of Calhoun, MO. Plus many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
