Billy M. Witherspoon passed away Thursday, November 27, 2014 at his home in Garden City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M., Tuesday, December 2, 2014 at Vansant-Mills Chapel, Clinton, Missouri. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Private family inurnment at a later date. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Wounded Warrior and may be left in care of funeral home. Billy was the son of Myril Edgar and Nellie Marie (Lee) Witherspoon. He was an Army Veteran serving during the Vietnam War. He worked line construction being a member of the IBEW #53. Billy loved to hunt and fish. He especially loved his family, grandkids and his furry companion "Ben".

Billy was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Tracey Lynn Carnegy.

Survivors include his fiance, Lesley Street of the home; son Derrick (Brittney) Witherspoon of Clinton; son Eric Street (Lori) of Springfield; daughter, Amy Mendenhall of Greenwood; 8 grandchildren, Bryant, Dawson, Gillian, Abbi, Kameryon, Sayer, Ashlyn, and Grayson; brothers, Harold Witherspoon Clinton, Larry Witherspoon Deepwater and Danny (Jacqueline) Witherspoon, Clinton; sister, Judy (David) Himes of Clinton; his furry friend "Ben"; and numerous neices and nephews.

Arrangments have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, Missouri.
