Betty Jane Tye, age 78, of Clinton, passed away Friday, November 23, 2018 at Golden Living Center/Westwood, Clinton.  Funeral services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, November 28, 2018 at Vansant-Mills Funeral Chapel, Clinton.  Visitation will be 1:00-2:00PM prior to funeral.  Interment will follow in the Englewood Cemetery, Clinton.  Memorial contributions can be made to the American Diabetes Association and may be left in care of Vansant-Mills Funeral Home.  Condolences and fond memories may be left online at www.vansant-millsfuneralhome.com .

Betty Jane Tye was born January 25, 1940 to E.T. (Chuck) Whitchurch and Nellie (Delozier) Whitchurch, both preceded her in death as did her husband Wayne Tye who she married in 1982.  She was also preceded in death by one brother, Jimmy Whitchurch and one niece Holly (Terry) Neill.

Survivors are a sister, Ruth Ann Terry; two sisters-in-law, Judy Whitchurch and Wanda Sperry; step-daughter Debbie (Nick) Louis; step-sons, Daniel Tye and Ronnie Tye; many grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and several nieces, and nephews.

Betty worked at Rival Manufacturing for many years.  When Betty retired, due to health issues, she made her home at Clinton Manor.  Betty has been in care of Westwood Home for the last several years.  She enjoyed watching Tv and playing cards.

She will be missed.
