Betty Jo Nelson, age 78 years, a homemaker and adored mother, of Gordonville, Texas passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016 at Clinton Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 29, 10am with visitation 1 hour prior at the Sisco Funeral Chapel, Springdale, Arkansas. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in Clifty Cemetery, Clifty, Arkansas. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Hospice Compassus and may be left in care of the funeral home. Betty was born March 2, 1938, in Clifty, Arkansas, to the Reverend Thomas D. Ingmire and Minnie (Allen) Ingmire. She was a member of the Northside Pentecostal Church, in Fort Worth, Texas, where she always lifted spirits with her vibrant personality and beautiful singing voice.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Donald Loyd Nelson, of the home, one daughter, Terry Bowlin, of Warsaw, Missouri, one son, Gary Nelson, of Dallas, Texas, two grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a sister, Ruth Oliver, of Clifty, Arkansas, and more friends than can be counted.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Debra Nelson, six brothers, four sisters, and her parents.
