Bertha June (Bailey) Anzalone was born on June 14, 1937 in Deepwater, MO and entered into rest on October 30, 2017 at the age of 80 years, 4 months and 16 days. She was the sixth child of Ernest William and Bertha May Dobbs Bailey.

June attended school at her beloved Deepwater school district where she enjoyed playing sports and being with her schoolmates. She was a very proud Deepwater Demon of the Class of 1955.

After graduation, she entered the work force where she held many jobs especially excelling in clerical work, working for the likes of State Senator Bill Cason among others.

She met the love of her life, her precious Vincent "Flower" Anzalone and was later united in marriage on July 16, 1961. To this union, two children were born; Vincent Alan and Scott Edward Anzalone. Later, in 1986, Flower and June renewed their wedding vows with their son Alan officiating in the place of the late Rev. Chester Smart.

June had a zest for life and living it to its fullest. She was very active in school and community, and doing some serious stumping for her favorite politicians. She served for decades as the Fairview Township Democratic Committee Woman for Henry County, and also served part of that time as Vice Chairman of HCDC. She was a devoted school room mother for both her children and served a term as the PTSA President in 1976.

June was quick witted and a clever, skilled writer. She was famous for her "Just For Fun" articles in the Clinton Democrat and as the character performer of "Charmin' Charmin".

In 2004, at the age of 67 years, June decided to further her education and enrolled at State Fair Community College, where she immediately joined a sorority and became the life of the campus. In 2006, during the graduation ceremony, the SFCC President had her stand up and be recognized for graduating exactly 51 years to the date of her high school graduation.

Most importantly to June, was her loving relationship with her Savior Jesus Christ and later when her children followed her path. She had accepted Him at an early age and joined the FBC of Deepwater. Years later, she moved her membership to the Brownington Baptist Church, where her son Alan pastors. She held numerous positions in the church including GA's/Acteens, Youth Leader, Church Clerk and her beloved role as a Sunday School teacher which she faithfully served for decades.

Outside of God and family, perhaps June's biggest honor came when she, along with her sons, was chosen to be the Deepwater Labor Harvest Picnic Parade Grand Marshal this past September. She was ecstatic for days.

In addition to her husband and parents, June was preceded in death by her siblings; Brother Bill, Sister Jeane, Brother Bob, Brother Tom, and Brother Ben; as well as numerous nephews and nieces.

She is survived by her sons, Alan Anzalone and Scott Anzalone, both of the Deepwater area, as well as her cherished nephews and nieces, family, and church family and friends.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Vansant-Mills Funeral Home of Clinton, MO.
