Barbara J. Maddux, age 71 years, passed way Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Barbara's wishes were to be cremated. There are no services scheduled at this time. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Barbara Maddux Memorial Fund and can be left in care of the funeral home. Barbara was born November 4, 1942 in Osceola, Missouri the daughter of Henry and Lucille (O'Banion) Peek. She enjoyed gardening, watching Westerns, playing Bingo, and yard sales. Barbara loved her grandchildren dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents, 2 husbands, Thomas Wendell Comstock and Robert Maddux, daughter, Wendy Comstock, 3 sisters; Betty, Geraldine and Patricia Peek, and 2 brothers, Henry and Robbie Peek.

Survivors include daughter, Shelle Robertson of Holden, Missouri, 3 sons; Robert Maddux of Kirksville, Missouri, Michael Maddux of Pleasant Hill, Missouri and Samuel Maddux of Holden, Missouri, 5 brothers; Lewis Peek of Texas, Mickey and Charles Peek both of Clinton, Missouri, Jeffery Peek of North Carolina, and Randy Peek of Texas, 6 sisters; Erma Johnson of Kansas, Carolyn Rhoad of Windsor, Missouri, Bonnie Houk of Clinton, Missouri, Judy Whitchurch of Colorado, Vickie Farrow of Warrensburg, Missouri, and Trudy Anders of Texas, 14 grandchildren, as well as 10 great-grandchildren.
