Audrey Laverne Miller, age 86 of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, December 15, 2008 at St. Luke's Hospital, Kansas City, Missouri. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M., Saturday, December 20, 2008 at Vansant-Mills chapel, Clinton with burial in Englewood Cemetery, Clinton. Family will receive friends from 6:00 P.M. to 7:30 P.M. Friday at the chapel. Laverne was born in Erie, Kansas. She served in the Army Nurse Corp during W.W. II and received the rank of Second Lieutenant. She was a Registered Nurse working at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital until l980. She was a member of the First Baptist Church, Clinton.

She is survived by her children, Val VanWinkle and wife, Carolyn of Olathe, Kansas, Harriet Hargrave and Shannon VanWinkle, both of Kansas City, Missouri and four grandchildren.
