Alice Ruth Kauffman, age 93, of Clinton, Missouri passed away Monday, March 8, 2010 at Clinton Healthcare & Rehabilitation Center, Clinton, Missouri. Funeral services will be held Thursday, March 11th, 2010 at 10:30 AM at the Clinton United Methodist Church. Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:30 pm Wednesday March 10th, at the Vansant-Mills Funeral Home. Ruth was born near Collins, MO the daughter of Charles and Martha (Pace) Heare. She taught school in Wellington, MO High School for 25 years before moving to Clinton in 1976. Ruth was married to John Kauffman,who prececed her in death on Feb. 1st, 2000. She was a member of the Clinton United Methodist Church.

She is survived by two daughters
Linda Hoffman and husband Wendell of Clinton, Missouri and Nancy Goodloe and husband Ross of Lexington, Missouri; a son Robert Kauffman and wife Ellen of Birch Tree, Missouri; five grandchildren Amy Hendricks and husband Alan, Barbara James and husband Vance, Steven Goodloe and wife Jill, Angie Sterling and husband Ed, and David Hoffman, and wife Mary; ten great-grandchildren, and two step-great grandchildren.
