Myrtle Lou "Pat" Fyffe born in Covington, Oklahoma on November 5th, 1930, joined our Savior the day before her 82nd birthday, November 4th, 2012 at Golden Valley Memorial Hospital. "Pat" as she was known all of her life, was raised in small towns around Oklahoma as the youngest of eight children and only their mother to raise them.
She worked at the phone company in Stillwater, OK., and then joined the W.A.C. where she was discharged with honors. She worked 30+ years in Civil Service at Tinker AFB, Midwest City, OK. till her retirement.
Anyone who was friends with or interacted with "Pat" knew she was one of a kind. Many had colorful ways to describe her demeanor. But the term used in this memorial will be, "She was quite the character".
Pat was preceded in death by her mother, Anna Belle (White) Fyffe; her brothers, Harold Wallace Fyffe, Jack Bruce Fyffe, Billy Lee Fyffe, the twins, Elray and Elroy Fyffe, Archivale Marco (Archie) Fyffe, and her sister Mary Jane Davis (Fyffe), and sister-in-law Ida Bess Fyffe (Jack's wife).
Pat is survived by her daughter, Janean Lanning, Clinton, MO. and fiance Dan Neupert, her grandson Joel D. Lanning and wife Ezgi, Lakenheath AFB, UK, a niece Sue Sherard and husband Larry, TX., three sister-in-laws, Imagene (Archie), Denna Fo (Bill), and Marge (Ray), also many nieces and nephews.
Pat requested to be cremated with no services. Memorials, condolences and memories may be left at Vansant-Mills Funeral Home, Clinton, MO.
